Hi guys, I just heard that there would be an extension to the current smoking ban in singapore. Guess the government wants to stop smoking in Singapore just like chewing gums. The ban would involve coffee shops and hawker centres from July next year and it will be the same for entertainment outlets as well by July 2007.

It is said that the coffee shop owners are worried that this may affect their business and it’s up to them to setup a smoking corner (yellow box army style) haha. But honestly i asked a few smokers how do they feel, of course they are pissed but i guess some would not care less about the ban. Have a look even if its banned in the bus stops, one would still see people smoking at the bus stops. Who would go up and say hey can you stop smoking? its like asking for trouble i guess the guy would just yell at you man if you told him to put out his cigarettes.

Wonder would how would the clubs be like with a smoking ban? They could just paint a yellow box around the entire premise to make the whole club a yellow box ahhaah. Anyhow only time will tell what the outcome be.
