I have always wondered why the authorities spend so much time on road works, then dig it up barely 6 months after, and re-do it again. Many roads are almost always under construction - a pain in the rear for motorists, and surely a waste of public funds.

Guess those of us who are in located in Singapore, would have experience almost continuous rain for the past few days. In the past, I always took for granted the shelters that were constructed in our housing estates. After 4 days of rain, I truly appreciate these shelters, as I am a person who hate taking an umbrella.
