Saw this report on the telegraph UK, that a married couple of 40 yrs separated and decided to saw their house into half. Is this how it works?

Hoho Yes I passed my IPPT

Yesh, I finally passed my IPPT. For the past few months, I have been training for the test. However after several attempts for my IPPT, I still couldnt pass it. The reason was mainly due to the 2.4 km run, thats a killer as I would need to under 12mins plus before I can pass the test. Many of us Singaporean males know that if one doesnt pass his IPPT, the RT system sets in and that we all know is a pain in the ass.

With RT insight (birthday is coming soon) and not wanting to go for RT, I decided to give it another try after a few days of training. I wasnt very confident today, however thank god I managed to pass and shave off 1 min compared from my previous attempts. Now I just have to maintain and wait for next year’s window to open which is in 1 weeks time and try to clear that as well .

By the way, just in case you didn’t know if you booked your IPPT and have 3 no shows, the system will ban you from booking. So if you book but cant go for your IPPT best to cancel it. There is a time limit for you to cancel, if I am not wrong its during 12 noon, 1 day before the actual test.

First Cheese Cake Baking Experience

Last week after my first baking lesson, I decided to try baking my own cheese cake, after all from the lesson it looked very simple and easy. So over the weekend, I went out to buy the ingredients needed for the cheese cake. Following the cheese cake recipe, I got cream cheese, biscuits, sugar, chocolate, eggs, flour, vanilla, milk, butter and almonds and started to mix them together, placed it into the oven and waited.

After an hour later, when I took the cheese cake out from oven the cheese cake look ok. However when I cut into the cake, the insides was soft and watery and the aroma was also missing. Not sure why is that the case, something went wrong during the process. However I cant really figure out what, my prime suspects would be either the oven heat isnt strong enough or I placed too much eggs to make it watery or I something else.

Guess I will have to give it another shot to be able to find out what went wrong.

Life Experience - First Baking Lessons

Tried something new today, I went for my first baking class at my local community center. Today’s lesson covered 2 types of cake, pineapple apricot fruitcake and chocolate cheese cake. The lesson was taught with an instructor showing us the basics and how we are suppose to do it. Instructions were provided and where we could purchase the baking ingredients. Only issue that I had was there wasn’t any hands on, but yet again for 8 baking lessons at 70 dollars I guess we can’t ask for more

Let’s see what we will learn next week.

Wanna Buy Tech Stocks - Google, Apple, Microsoft Anyone?

The stock market is crashing, Google has dropped from 700 plus to 500 per stock. Apple has dropped from 200plus to 126. Microsoft has dropped from 32 to 28 plus. So is it a good time to cash in on these tech stocks? Looking at previous value it might be a good time to buy in. However who knows the sub-prime might cause the market to tank even further.

So if you were to buy these stocks now, which would you buy? I guess many would say stay away for now. For me I might wanna place some bets on Apple, Google and Microsoft.

Looking at Nasdaq, the price for Google now is at $528.95 down from $530 5 minutes ago. Apple dropped from 126 to 125.23. While Microsoft remained slightly the same.
